DeNa, the developer, initially announced the game in July 2022 under the name Captain Tsubasa: Ace. The game draws inspiration from the beloved manga-anime Captain Tsubasa, or more commonly known as Turf Dream Tsubasa. This iconic work holds a special place in the memories of gamers from the 80s and the entire Generation Z, who were engrossed in every page of the story and the animated series.
In Captain Tsubasa: Ace, players will reunite with familiar characters such as Tsubasa Ozora, Kojiro Hyuga, and Genzo Wakabayashi, reliving legendary moments with them. The game features two main modes: Dream League and Ace Showdown. In Dream League, players can control a team of 11 players to compete against another team. Ace Showdown, on the other hand, is a 5vs5 game mode where players control a single player, collaborating with others to compete.
With Captain Tsubasa: Ace rekindling the dream of playing football, the game has successfully completed its testing phase in some regions in early October.
